IACMI Celebrates 10th Anniversary at Members Meeting
IACMI hosted our annual Members Meeting in Dayton, Ohio--the Birthplace of Aviation--with 300+ attendees from 31 states and 4 countries June 24-26. This year’s theme, “A Decade of Innovation: IACMI’s Impact,” highlighted how IACMI and our members, in the 10 years since our inception, have become a catalyst for increasing U.S. manufacturing competitiveness by connecting people, ideas, and technology. Our monthly webinar series “Innovation Insights” continues Monday, July 21, as IACMI CCO Jason Gibson moderates discussions on recent technology advancements from IACMI members.

IACMI is Accepting Proposals
Starting July 14, IACMI will be accepting proposals from members for the next round of Resource Pool Projects. These are technical projects that are supported with IACMI Consortium Resource Pool funding up to $50,000. They advance, utilize, or demonstrate emerging technologies that have the potential to attract higher levels of follow-on-funding. Submissions will be accepted through September 12.

IACMI Workforce Program Featured in Forbes
Jim Vinoski highlights for Forbes the newest partnership for the METAL program, a workforce initiative in metallurgy led by IACMI, with Michigan Tech University (MTU). In addition to delivering in METAL’s nationally recognized curriculum, MTU will integrate METAL training into its existing summer youth programs, offering an introduction to metalworking, metallurgy and materials science to high school students from across the Upper Midwest.
